From Confusion to a call from God
There was a time in my life when I had more questions than answers. I believed in God. I attended church. I listened to sermons and read devotionals. But if I’m honest, I often felt disconnected from the Word of God. I knew what I had heard about Scripture, but I wasn’t always sure I understood it for myself. I found myself asking questions many believers ask:
What is God really saying?
How do I apply Scripture to my everyday life?
How do I know what is true when there are so many voices competing for my attention?
The more I searched for answers, the more I realized I wasn’t alone. There were countless believers sitting in churches every week who loved God but lacked confidence in understanding His Word. Many were trying to grow spiritually without strong biblical roots. And when life’s storms came, their faith often felt shaky because their foundation wasn’t deep. What began as personal confusion became a spiritual pursuit. I started spending more time in Scripture—not just reading it, but studying it. Asking questions. Digging deeper. Looking for understanding rather than information. And as I did, something began to change. God’s Word became more than words on a page.
It became direction.
It became wisdom.
It became strength.
It became a foundation.
The deeper I went into Scripture, the clearer my purpose became.Then one day, what had started as a personal journey became a calling. God placed a burden on my heart to help others experience what I was experiencing—to move beyond surface-level faith and become deeply rooted in His Word. That calling became Rooted in the Word. Rooted in the Word exists because I believe believers deserve more than inspiration.
They deserve understanding.
They deserve discipleship.
They deserve the confidence that comes from knowing God’s Word and living it every day.
Today, our mission is simple:
To help people dig deep into Scripture so they can grow strong in their faith and change lives through the power of God’s Word.
My story is not really about confusion. It’s about what God can do when someone decides to seek Him deeper. Because confusion does not have to be the end of your story. Sometimes it’s the very thing God uses to lead you into your calling. And maybe that’s why you’re here.
